In National Fisherman

In March 2023 Michael Crowley of National Fisherman wrote about two of our boats. The first was the 46′ × 17′ 6″ lobster boat we were finishing for a Stonington fisherman (Josh Lee’s Kelsie Marie, launched that September): an Osmond Beal design, laid up as a bare hull at H&H Marine in Steuben and delivered to us in April 2022. The article describes her split wheelhouse, 800 hp FPT, two lobster tanks and a fuel tank below the main deck, and room for about 200 traps.

The second was Déjà Vu, the 44′ Willis Beal we widened from 15′ 2″ to 18′ for a Trescott lobsterman. An 800 hp Scania gets her to 22.5 knots.

Both boats have fiberglass main decks, and the headline has us resisting rubber decks. Peter’s one correction: the tiles he was asked about were asphalt tiles.
